Barbados Surfing Overview
In line to receive the Atlantic swells, the East Coast is home to the most consistent breaks on Barbados. Waves make the long travel over the open Atlantic only to meet the steep Continental Shelf, which jacks up the swell as it rumbles across the reefs to create world class waves that are for the more experienced surfer.

Between December and March a north swell will bring sporadic waves to the West Coast if there is a strong enough north swell to energize them. Under such conditions the resulting power-packed waves can be truly great, even though it rarely gets above 8'.

The South Coast is more consistent than the West Coast, yet rarely breaks in the summer months unless influenced by localized storm action. Bathsheba Surfing Locations Glassy, though small from June to August. The coast offers most consistent surf on the island from September to December.

Soup Bowls	Actually given the nickname "Sunset Beach." That should tell you something about the fast, powerful rights which barrel into Barbados' top surf spot. Hollow tubes. Long walls. Anywhere from 2 to 20 feet!
Parlors	This place has been called the Mother of All Walls, and is said to break up to 40!' Expect a long paddle over deep water to thick, juicy rights and lefts!
High Rock	Rights and lefts lying between Soup Bowls and Parlors. Breaks under pretty much the same conditions.
